I was shocked and honored to learn that my image, Windy Stillness, was awarded First Place - Black and White in the My Colorado show at gallery nrc. Awards were given by the show’s juror, Nat Coalson.
Windy Stillness, as well as my other photographs in the show, are all printed directly onto sheets of coated aluminum. The aluminum is then coated with a sheer finish. The output of this printing process is a very unique piece of art. If you haven’t ever seen photographs printed on aluminum, swing on by gallery nrc and check it out.
The ‘My Colorado’ show runs at gallery nrc from now until March 12, 2011. If you were unable to make the First Friday in February, I will also be at the gallery for First Friday in March (March 4, 2011).
